Canada is a developed country, has one of the highest human development index (HDI) of the world (0.961). Yet Canada's economy is heavily reliant on the U.S.. It is a service economy. Agriculture accounts for only 2% of GDP and occupies feathers 2% of the workforce. The industry accounts for 29% of GDP and is home to 22% of workers. Services represent 69% of GDP and 76% of the workforce.
